Zamarrones

  1. Vale de Polaciones (Cantábria)

No dia 11 de fevereiro, esta cidade situada na costa do Biscayé comemora um carnaval cheio de tradição e mitos. Nesta celebração ancestral, batizado como Aratustes, os homens (chamados ‘atorrak’) e as mulheres (‘lamiak’) participam separadamente: os homens estão vestidos de branco, saem pela manhã; As mulheres usam peruca rigorosa em preto e branco (como espectros) e saem pela tarde. Eles tocam violinos, guitarras, acordeões, pandeiros, contos e desfiles que contam piadas sobre o que aconteceu na cidade durante o último ano.

O carnaval dos índios, na ilha de La Palma, é um dos carnavais mais antigos e tradicionais das ilhas Canárias. É celebrado em Santa Cruz de La Palma, e comemora a chegada dos índios que retornam da América, para que os habitantes se vestem de branco e adicionem seus adereços como troncos, gaiolas com papagaios, charutos, etc. Sob uma guerra de talco em pó para dar uma bem-vinda particular com a música caribenha.
